I saw these Hinger snare drums at Western CT State University when I was there for a class in March of 2010.   David Smith is the teacher there and studied with Hinger.   I got some good photos of them.   I’ve never seen a metal Hinger, but here it is.   Both sounded amazing!   Perfect for something like Shost. 10th.   David is a great guy and has done some amazing things with the students at the university.
