I was fortunate to be involved with an event in Paris France hosted by Jean Baptiste LeClere.   The title of the event was the Programme Concours International d’Accessoires (International Competition of Percussion Accessories).   This is the first of it’s kind I think!

The event took place at the Paris Conservatory of Maurice Ravel on May 21-22.   There were clinics, masterclass, concerts and, of course, a major competition.  I did some of my Solo Complimentary percussion pieces on the concert as well as Streaming.   The competition jury consisted of myself, Anders Astrand (soloist), Nicolas Martynciow (Orchestra of Paris), Patrick Mancone (dean of the Conservatory) Jean-Baptiste Leclere (Paris Opera) and Romain Robine (National Orchestra of Lille).   The poster is below.   The competition requirements are Programme-concours-international-daccessoires.  Also, some great photos from the event!   LINK to the Paris Percussion Group, who, in addition to the Paris Conservatory, hosted the event.
