Clinics at Middle Tennessee State University and University of Memphis2I had the pleasure to visit and do presentations at Middle Tennessee State University (Murfreesboro, TN) and the University of Memphis.   Hosted by Lalo & Julie Davila at MTSU and by Frank Shaffer at the University of Memphis, these clinics were a wonderful opportunity to work with some exceptional students.   I felt honored that these teachers trusted me with their students and I hope I provided some outside perspective to their programs.    Also, at MTSU I got to check out the marching band – directed by Craig Cornish – this was an enormous band!   380 strong!   The clinics were sponsored by Zildjian (of course!) and by Fork’s Drum Closet and the Memphis Drum Shop.   Thank you to everyone involved.    The photo above is with the 16 members of the MTSU cymbal line and the below photo is me at the U of Memphis.
