The Boston Conservatory Percussion Ensemble presented a concert that included the music of Udow, Cage, Takemitsu, Diez and Wallin. Also, percussionist Javier Diaz was the featured guest artist at the concert. Javier was a soloist in his piece “Sakpata” for large percussion ensemble and hand drum/chanting soloist. Javier sounded amazing both in his drumming and in his chanting! Sam Solomon and I directed the program.
