Chase was a student of mine at the Boston Conservatory for 3 years – prior to that he was a student of David Smith getting his undergrad degree at Western Connecticut State University. A special congratulations goes to Chase on winning this postion! He will be working with John Lane, Director of Percussion there and will start in the Spring Semester. He will be doing private lessons, conducting the percussion ensemble and working with the drum line. Chase is perfect for this position as he is experienced in all these areas – an amazingly diverse percussionist. Photo is after his final Percussion Ensemble Concert at Boston Conservatory in the Fall of 2011.
