From January 22 through Saturday January 28 I had the opportunity to work with the Colombian Youth Philharmonic     This is a highly prestigious, audition only orchestra that is comprised of the most talented students from across the country.

Above, from Left to Right:   Oscar Duarte, Guillermo Ospina, Christina Munoz, Keith Aleo and Humberto Valencia.

These wonderfully talented students prepared and performed an evenings worth of orchestral music in 5 days, including a spectacular rendition of Strauss’Death and Transfiguration.   They did 3 concerts, featuring a final concert in the Jorge Tadeo Concert Hall in Bogota.

Check out the instrument section of my website to see some of the interesting instruments I saw while visiting!
