I saw this bass drum at PASIC 2009 and had to photograph it.   It’s a replica of a Janissary Bass Drum – exactly what I’d use for Mozart/Haydn and some Beethoven   Played with a stick in one hand and a “switch” (bundle of twigs) in the other.   Played on both heads.
