At both the University of South Florida (Robert McCormick host – March 15th) and Florida State University (John Parks Host – March 18th), I presented, for the first time, a full recital that features only Complimentary Percussion Instruments. The recitals were in more of an informal setting and I spoke between pieces. The program consisted of some of the following pieces – see below. Please check out my upcoming recital at University of Connecticut in the NEWS Section, this will have the full program and program notes – this recital will be in a more formal setting.
Temazcal – Javier Alvarez
A Stillness that Better Suits this Machine – Casey Cangelosi
Butterfly Effect – John Murphree
Commissioned by Keith Aleo
The Elephant Looks Back – Ben Wahlund
Premiere Performance – commissioned by Keith Aleo
Tambourines – Rupert Kettle
Nothing that is not there and the nothing that is – Peter V. Swendsen
Montagues Foundry – James Campbell
Commissioned by Keith Aleo

My set up at the University of South Florida

At FSU after John Murphree’s Butterfly Effect – note how close the mics are to the cymbals – a totally amazing sound that I operate with foot pedals.
